Would bonanza Boy have won a race without the whip?

Or Snake Charmer 15 times in the last furlong

Perhaps not but something else would have won so what does it matter its all about picking the winner whip or no whip.

Owner can retire Lough Derg now. Horse deserves it though...

Metro - that made me laugh! As soon as the whip changes were made known I thought of Bonanza Boy and the flogging Smith Eccles gave it. Memory escapes me what race it was but truly felt sorry for the horse.

A right handed track, was under pressure a long way out, needed some encouragement, and answered to the whip, else would probably been eased under new rules?
