Is this a too good to be true job,I would have this around 5/1 and many others seem to agree it won't be out of the frame. It got a poor ride last time imo if he's ridden just behind the leaders it should take all the beating. The Bells of Peover the danger for me.

You'd imagine given the weather that people might be worried about the ground drying, out sire is selkirk, damsire is sadlers wells which is not usually conducive to faster ground. Its a bit of a lottery trying to second guess the c0c at ascot so I would wait and see the times of the first couple of races before backing.

no logic required Chompy, I subscribe to a ratings service that have this horse with about half a stone in hand on most of it's form

I dont think it stays the 12 furlongs well enough, also think its probably regressing, yes it has some ok looking form, and it may well of got a bad ride lto, but for me its more likely to finish last than first however good luck
Cheers |

i personally think the answer to this particular conundrum may well lie in the form of a race run in August.

its all about opinions but for me he stays the 12f well enough. you could argue about his favourite ground but has shown a decent level of form on todays surface.
has gone well on his two visits here which is a plus but would be worried about stable form, they have had a poor season and that would be a bit of a negative. form wise i think he might have a fair bit in hand on most of this field. i really cant have the regression bit, overall imo he rates a pretty decent e/w wager at around the 8/1 mark. good luck guys whatever you play. |

midnight oil is probably capable of running to 100 or more on good ground ,good to firm last time out .If ground is more on firm side today then , the argument for,' well sharp' running well is less problematic as he has won on gtf and does look a few pounds well in on a line through swift alharth at Goodwood when he did not as they say, get the- run of the race
By:
if you like the line with SA then you should look at the shergar cup imo

Tend to to be sceptical in regard to s/gs form
On the Flat as it is not the norm as it is over the Jumps …the race I referred to was also at Ascot Not Goodwood GL |
By:
form is rock solid imo, but its all about opinions, the winner went on to win again off 100, the time compares with the previous race run at a decent lick earlier for older horses
By:
appeared to be woefully one paced
By:
not too shabby imo, told ya that was decent form, PCH is a very good trainer when he wants to be imo damn his black eyes

If the going description had had the word ,'soft' anywhere in it
then the second may well have won ...it was only it's absence that put me and I suspect others off ,but the Shergar cup run was indeed solid |
