Do you think they will pull Workforce before knowing what the ground is really like? Maybe just trying to encourage the hosepipe man to do his job
![]() |
By:
I think they will. There's always another Arc next year
![]() |

I hope Monsieur Fabre has a word and tells him NON!!!!
By:
with the form stouteys in workforce wouldnt win a wolves seller
By:
They have Frankel for next year's ARK.
By:
Frankel will rule the world as a 4 year old. Going to start of by winning every race he's in from The World Cup in Dubai in March to The Japan Cup in November.
By:
What has Heffernan ever done wrong on the horse? 100% winning record on it with 3 rides and 3 wins, all Group races and 2 of them Group 1s.....which is actually a better record than Moore anyway.
By:
Is FRANKEL entered in the F.A. cup?
By:
Nah its on the same day as the boat race next year
By:
What a letdown, zilzal.
By:
Zilzal1 Frankel is actually leading a man/horse flight to Mars that weekend.
By:
You mixed that up with beating the particles they shoot around the Hadron Collider mate, Mars is in Feb
By:

By:

Workforce out to 10-1 on Betfair for Prix De L'Arc de Triomphe as fast ground fears surface
Workforce remains an “intended” runner in the Qatar Prix De L’Arc de Triomphe despite Sir Michael Stoute airing strong concerns about fast ground ahead of Sunday’s race. Marcus Armytage http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/horseracing “I’ve been very happy with his preparation, but I’m disappointed to hear about the weather forecast,” said Stoute on Thursday. “He’s a big, heavy horse and we do like good ground for him.” Workforce had drifted out to 10-1 on Betfair on Thursday evening. Last year, Workforce went all the way to Churchill Downs in America before he was taken out of the Breeders’ Cup because of fast ground. Khaled Abdulla’s racing manager Lord Grimthorpe said: “We’ve been told they’re watering so that’s it’s good for Saturday and on the fast side for Sunday. We don’t want firm ground, but we are keen to run if we can. At this stage he is still an intended rather than unlikely runner.” However, the French Derby winner Reliable Man must now be considered in the latter category after trainer Alain de Royer Dupree said: “If we don’t have rain, he won’t run.” With final declarations and the draw on Friday, So You Think and Treasure Beach appear to be Aidan O’Brien’s two definite runners with a question mark now emerging, it seems, over St Nicholas Abbey |

Julian Leperoux being flown in....no need for Moore.
By:
Not ideal though if that is the case, to be riding the horse for the first time on the course in the big race itself.
I was saying much earlier in the season after Wonder of Wonders won at Chester that I didn't get Ballydoyle's logic of using Moore on their horses like SYT when they must have known he would be on Stoute horses for the Ballydoyle horses principle targets and feel that the jockey not really knowing the horse partly had an effect on WoW being beaten in the Oaks too. Add to that neither Leperoux nor SYT have much if any knowledge of Longchamp or that the horse has never won at the trip and that's quite a few negatives to have to overcome. I also don't even think it's a given that SYT will finish ahead of Treasure Beach and wouldn't be too surprised if he didn't, assuming both run their races. |
By:
Ground is going to be near perfect, more give than UK "good" so no excuses not to run WF as horse is also fine.[;)]
By:
Time to offload those SYT bets...now before its too late
By:
I hope they don't use RM he is a useless prick and couldn't ride a rocking horse.
By:
Hello Mr Heffernan welcome to the forum
By:
I thought it was Joseph AD,such language.[:o][:o]
By:
So that will be the ex-Champion Apprentice, 3 times Champion Jockey, Derby/Oaks same season double, Arc, King George, Coronation Cup (x2), Eclipse, Juddmonte International, Irish Oaks, Hong Kong Cup, HK QEII and Breeders' Cup Turf (x2) winning "useless prick who couldn't ride a rocking horse" then?

Joseph will ride, just keeping the spotlight off him as long as possible.
By:
i think ryan is in the top 5 in the world. i actually think hes the best but am allowing for jocks i havent seen before

By:
Joseph = SNA.[;)]
By:
Sna not gonna run
By:
[;)]![]() |
By:
The thing is he is use to riding UK no hoppers in setup races, he can't handle a horse that he has to actually think on, one that can change it's rising tactics to suit the rcae as it unfolds.
Unless the race is run as planned he is ****. |

'No BS'
I think you might need to watch last year's Arc again. Dear oh dear ![]() |
By:
Workforce romps home on good to firm ground at Epsom so what the hell Stoute?, these effing trainers do my head in!!.
By:
Yes he did - and he was in a right old mess afterwards.
By:
Heffernan rides So You Think.
By:
I never heard anything about the horse been in a right old mess afterwards?, as for his defeat in the King George?, read between the lines who trained the winner who romped home and who owned the winner?.
By:
Are you suggesting that because you didn't hear about it, it didn't happen?
![]() Stoute was quite open anyway - I didn't get a personal call from the big man...just read the Racing Post. 'Suppose he could have been telling fibs and it was all one big punter put-away...the game's BENT I TELLS YA LADS IT'S ALL BENT!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Annemarie O Brien
Declarations for Longchamp: So You Think (Seamus Heffernan), Treasure Beach (Colm O Donoghue) and St Nicholas Abbey (Joseph O Brien). |
By:
Well if he was so worried about fast ground for his big heavy horse why didn't he pull him out of the Derby?, his big heavy horse was running on fast ground on one of the most idiosyncratic tracks found anywhere in the World.
Playing mind games as usual, get the excuses in first, although the horse was always going to run anyway. |

drawn 14, a tricky draw
