Has anyone much experience of this? Last week, i laid a horse at BSP with a limit set of 2.5 and liability of £300. During the day, checking my account statement on my phone, I can't see the bet either winning or losing, so i assume the BSP was above 2.5
However when i check the results page, i see the horse lost and the calculated BSP was 2.5, which i expected to be a winner for me! Naturally i asked BF to investigate and they referred me to their help section which does state that there IS a possibility of this happening when the BSP is exactly same as a specified SP limit. In some circumstances, "Some, all or none" of the BSP bets or lays at the exact same limit price may not be matched. Fair enough, it meant i didnt win the £200, bt it seemed to be pretty unusual so i wasn't expecting it really to occur again. Lo and behold, the same thing happened yesterday! Again a 2.5 shot lost but my 2.5 limit lay wasn''t matched.
Does anyone know - is this a fairly common thing to happen? I appreciate it could happen in my favour - the horse wins and my lay bet ISN'T matched. BUT its happened twice and twice against me.
I'm not complaining, the scenario is set out on the BF site. However there is no indication of the chances of it happening? "Some, all or non" seems to cover all bases!
if the horse wins and you lay it - will have been match NAP

isn't there a kind of a timeframe issue here?
i.e. BF SP matches made at the start of the race

However, surely that won't make any difference. It's the actual calculated BSP matching my limit that is the problem, NOT the 2.5 limit itself? Surely the BSP reconciliation process is just as likely to return a 2.52 BSP as a 2.5? In which case, i would still be subject to the apparent 'randomness' of whether my linit bet is matched.
Guys, thanks for the repliesI thought of doing that, laying slightly higher. However, surely that won't make any difference. It's the actual calculated BSP matching my limit that is the problem, NOT the 2.5 limit itself?Surely the BSP reconciliation p
goes down to 6 decimal places and also if you specify odds of the backer it needs the same amount of layers...best just to whack in at sp and have a pop if you feel it loses
