Dear Fellow Punters,

It's come to the stage where we are being all taken for mugs by trainers/jockeys/owners i.e. those in the inner sanctum. Punters and punters alone are keeping the racing game alive. A massive percentage of big races are sponsered by leading bookmakers who are absolutely draining the life out of punters these days. I know that horses are run for those that own them and not for punters to make money but lets face it the game is corrupt and it's getting worse...I propose an all out strike for a Saturday in October...and see how the layers and those who are raking it in from laying dead meat get on.

Yours Sincerely
OnTheMachine

COMPLETELY AGREE

I am in... name the date and I will not be betting...Betfair/Daq or bookies

the GC are treating punters with contempt
the BHA are doing the same but have been doing it for longer so it is less excusable
Betfair, i think know what is correct - but are often to scared or unable to do anytrhing about it

It has been proved more than once that leading bookmakers have provided certain trainers with win no lose accounts. Some people are innocent enough to think that dead meat only runs in small races...get real my friends it happens in the big races as well...

Have a look at Sir Randolph in the next at Kemp OTM,still a maiden but fancied at the weights in an open race.Everything in place for a big run according to molerat,he suggests larger place than win.

Might help re-dress the balance a bit.glLaugh[;)]

I can't name a suitable date...I'm only in my early 30's and am not sure which Saturday would suit best...Would it be legal to pickets betting shops so that we could advise the Saturday Lucky 15 merchants and housewives doing the Lotto of what is going on...

What I do know is that it has to be on a Saturday...

What I meant to add was that some of the wiser amongst us could propose the date...We could also have a vote here on the forum...

We could start with a Saturday and then if that makes a ripple we could do a Friday/Saturday...I want to starve the b@atards out...Punters have been kept in the dark for too long and it has to stop...

Not sure we will get much support on here, its full of right wingers and its against their religion of greed to strike.Thats why trainers wont do it.

We need to email our bookmakers to tell them why we wont be betting that day. Then keep doing it till it hurts.

acey duecy...no horse has left me down...jockeys and trainers have...I know this game very well and i have been privy to I regard as veru serious security breeches...A fair percentage of jockeys and trainers are in serious debt over investments in property that is now worthless...

You don't have to be Hercule Poirot to work out where they are going to the get the repayments from...it's obvious...

Saturday of Arc weekend OTM,you could all come over to the Bois DB and indulge in some debauchery as well as punting into the French nanny. That way you get what you want and the punters can still punt, genius?Laugh[;)]

You pull out of betfair on the day and tell them why.Its not rocket science.I think they will know by then. And if you have no other bookmaker, get one.

sherlocksbrain, Betfair are not bookmakers, that is why I use their facility.
I do not wish to join others constantly moaning that they cannot get their bets on.

So,let me see if I have understood you, onthemachine.
You claim to be privy to inside info and are proposing a strike ?
