First time I have ever landed a placepot to £97.20 before..
By:
the only winners will be the tote. all lines on the first winner and you will still loose!
By:
They will be a dividend but it will surely be 1.05p or even your money back
By:
how do you arrive at a stake of £97.20 ..is this a perm bet ?
By:
Have they declared it yet?
By:
At least my cashback will mitigate some of the loss when Tote Direct take 27% out of the pool.
By:
Yep permed sir. My total stake was £97.20
By:
The Toote should be embarrassed at taking their percentage out after 1 race.
By:
THEY will though

To think that you can put a pot on, pick the first winner, have your whole stake running onto the next race and still lose is just not right.

Total in pot £183.139Total left in after race one £177.011
By:
After deductions under the normal method dividend would pay £0.70 but obviously someone has used common sense and declared a dividend of £1.10 which is generous under the circumstances

By:
What happens on a permed PP. Do you lose all the extra perms or are they classed as winners?
By:
permed bets you lose
By:
No Mully unless you have had a losing line in the opening race your total returns will be increased by 10%
![]() |
By:
Hayden i dont think that's correct
By:
Mean't total investment increased by 10% , you know what I mean [;)]
By:
you divide the dividend by your unit stake, and then multiply by the number of winners u had in first leg. So you do win if your unit stake £1+ lose if unit stake less that £1
By:
Providing you haven't had a losing line in the first race your total outlay must be increased by 10% if the dividend is £1.10 , irrespective of any unit stakes it's all relative
By:
MrBaboon
The unit stake is irrelevant tbh and just a red herring , it's a mathematical total outlay increase of 10% providing there's no losing lines included whether your unit stake is 10p or £10 , it's all relative. |
By:
As it happens its paid rather well
1.20 Full Result 1st 2 Al Ferof (FR) 1-4 F 2nd 7 Oasis Knight (IRE) 5-1 |

Huggy
That's what was meaning earlier by generous when you think the traditional calculation would have paid a £0.70 for a 30% loss , thank goodness for common sense prevailing ![]() |
By:
£1.10 is the minimum dividend that may be returned on this pool as per tote rules, except of course when a meeting is totally abandoned

Rare occasion when punters get a good deal barking but in sad circumstances

By:
£1.40 jackpot?!?!?! crazyy
By:
The unit stake is important when calculating your winnings
By:
Final comment would be that in this instance the unit stake is totally irrelevant and it's all relative to your initial stake , the fact remains that whether your unit stake is 10p or £100 the outcome remains the same in that with no losing lines you receive a 10% increase to your total outlay.
Good luck if you play Wolverhampton tonight ![]() |
By:
Paul4 , £1.40 sounds crazy but you've in effect received the best return available for a 1/4 winner and with no deductions
![]() |
By:
give it to charity.
By:
Hayden, you are correct sorry i misunderstood. Ive had a go at Wolves tonight
By:
I lost half my stake
Had NR & 3rd in the first race(2 selections). Nice of them to take half my money on a race that should never have been run anyway ![]() |
