Don't think he would have won, but it was a very silly thing to do. Didn't see the winner until it was nearly alongside.

As an armchair jock, I would love to hear from the pros what the point of looking around is. The only things I can think of is to check that they are so far clear that they can take the last fence nice and easy, or they don't want to win too far because of their handicap mark.

Whereas all it looks like to me is a complete waste of time. And usually, my money!

Roo must of loved that.

It's obvious to all sorts of jockeys that turning round unbalances a horse.

But you've only got to read Walsh's biography to find that jump jockeys are beyond criticism.
