Be very, very careful of the site relayman dot com

It's free but all they want is your email address to sell on.

The stuff on the site they give out is all utter rubbish.

Today they gave bets out from tipsters, that I know for sure didn't have bets, they said Rix had a bet but he's not updating for another hour and a half. A bet from Steve Lewis Hamilton, it's pi55 poor.

Do not sign up to this shower of sh1te.

Should be renamed conman dot con

Yes it has, but thats what we try not to happen on our forum.
And we have a relaybin were exposed scams are in there so punters do not pay for scam info.
we are the good guys and it is free.  There is a VIP site were you can pay to join but thats because it has one of our members in it who is very decent and we negotiated with some good tipping firms and they are on board.
its a nice place to hang out and one bit of abuse and you get banned.

ufortunately you can no longer get in as we have closed the doors, makes no odds to us as it free.

Lammy get ready for a barrage of complaints and
demands for refunds when your mugs find out you
have been relaying relay agents. Then you have
the balls to ask people to pay you a fifty to help
with the costs of paying the tipsters direct.

The trading standards boys love conmen like you.
No doubt they will want a word. It's bad enough
ripping off tipsters but not even paying for them
direct and passing on rubbish is unforgivable.

You said earlier that the thread would be pulled
and people would be banned !! What happened ?
believe me you have not heard the last of this.

Relayman is a FREE site that gives advice, does not tell you what to put your whisky vouchers on and has a forum for the people to share views and opinions and occasionally differences of opinions!

If anyone does not like the site they are free to leave but i hope the site continues and gets better now some of the dregs have been eliminated!

5.10 Epic, said to be working well and being pulled up last time out was a surprise, hopes today that this will be put right.

All the professional whingers do not have to join Relayman or any other relay service, but for what Relayman charges compared to other relay sites i think it is excellent value for money and does what it says and relays tipsters who charge up to £2k a year for less than £8 a month.

Read the tips and back them from whoever you consider worthwhile and leave the others or you could even join the tipsters direct and pay there full subscription price, turned out nice again after all......

The sites who charge members to get relayed selections are the ones in trouble
Report worcesterwilly • September 28, 2011 9:39 AM BST
surely relaying is theft.....they either sign up to a service and then pass on the data for profit or entice people to sign up to tipping services on the premise that they will then be given free tips from other services for passing on their purchased information - this is how Newbury Racing works...

Of bigger concern for this particular site (Relayman) is that they claim to have inside information and charge on that basis for inside information from the following yards...

Michael Bell
Henry Cecil
John Dunplop
Tom Dascombe
Michael Stoute
John Gosden

"and many more"

Now one suspects they merely trawl the individual websites of those owners and claim it as "inside information" in which case they are breaking Advertising Standards Authority guidelines.

In the interests of fairness therefore the Advertising Standards Authority have been informed about the claims of inside information and charges as have those trainers listed as providing it.....

If the ASA and the Trainers confirm that this is wholly legitimate then it will surely get in to the public domain - if not....then expect a hefty fine for breaking Advertising Guidelines...
Report whiskyvoucher • September 28, 2011 9:41 AM BST
Relayline, Newbury, Castle, Goldline, Relayking are some relay services that spring to mind and the facts are that some of them have been going many many years so there is no law preventing these sites from operating or they would have been closed down years ago.

If it was illegal then this site would have been closed down as almost daily members are relaying PW and/or PW extra from the racing post.
Report worcesterwilly • September 28, 2011 9:46 AM BST
It is not illegal to take tips from newspapers or websites such as PW or PW extra.....of greater ambiguity and certainly of more interest to the ASA will be the fragrant theft of information from the likes of Mark Holder and Peter Naughton then sold on for PROFIT.....

There is nothing illegal in anyone coming on here and say "Peter Naughton tips.......xyz today".....

What is illegal in the eyes of the ASA is fo someone to obtain that information purely for means of business profit by selling it on without the express permission of the instigator of the information and I am aware of a number of tipping services including those named taking High Court action against various so called Relay-services that may well result in highly expensive fines and charges being levied....
Report DeKaiser • September 28, 2011 10:29 AM BST
3 very high profile tipsters have got together to bring action against one relay service in the new year to make an example.Apparently it is all based on the fact like the above 'providing a service for profit'that involves intellectual copyright.

Report whiskyvoucher • September 28, 2011 12:37 PM BST
I would be very surprised if any tipster was to bring about a successful prosecution of a relay service, some may have tried and failed and will be lumbered with a huge legal bill, this will be enough to ensure they do not attempt prosecutions.

The main culprits for relaying tipsters selections are other tipsters who claim they are there own tips.

Relaying does have its place within the sport but as with most things in life, those running them are only as good and have as much integrity as the people doing the relaying.

If I wanted to subscribe to a tipster but felt the charges were too high, then going via a relaying operator at a reasonable price seems to me to be little different to roping in a few mates to split the cost and then sharing the info between us all. Where things start to get a bit murky is if the relay agent charges an unreasonable price in relation to what they pay to subscribe themselves and also if there are doubts about the validity of the selections they are passing on.

For example if a tipsters charges £250 for the year for tips then the relay agent only needs 25 punters at £10 a pop to cover the cost of that. Fair enough they will have other expenses too like admin costs, phone calls and so on and they obviously want to pay themselves a wage and make a living out of it all too. No doubt there will be times when, they get many more than the 25 punters required or some will ask for a larger fee from punters than they should but I suppose it all boils down to what they do with the extra money coming in really.

As for intellectual copyright, that's a non starter as the original tipsters don't actually own anything anyway.

the the same day they had Coolminx win @ 20/1 and silke top at 11/10.
Then at the weekend they had jeu de viver at 11/1 and a number of others around the 6 - 10/1 mark.

been checking them on and off since and they put up a 22/1 winner a couple of days ago ..think it was called marketpuzzle ..utterly friendless in the market and not tipped anywhere ?

Now I subscribe to plenty of services and tipsters etc and these horses and the ones I have recieved since have NOT been put up by anyone else that I have seen ?

This that know me on here are awarethat I am primarily a layer and I often use the tip lines to see which horses will be overbet and therefore no value etc. But to be fair not everyone is a shyster.

The whole point though Wolber is that they ARE NOT Relayman tips....they are someone elses that RELAYMAN charge you for under false pretences....

Thats the FRAUD that relayers perpetrate...

The BIGGER fraud of this site is the GOLD service which CLAIMS to have inside information from trainers which is simply "in the public domain free at the point of source blog info" packaged up as Insie information and sold on at considerable cost...

It is that part of this charade that the ADVERTISING STANDARDS AUTHORITY are investigating....

If it was put up as "information gleaned from trainers" and NOT charged for......like some relay/information sites do - like Herbie Fogg and Matt Bisnorgo then that would be fine and dandy...but this method of charging for free information is mis-representation that will land this service with a hefty fine at best and huge charges at worst....

As evidenced on here though some of the info they pass on as "premium rate service info from "fred bloggs".....ISN'T what FRED Bloggs is tipping up!

Furthermore they are charging for GOLD service and simply cutting and pasting info directly from Trainers websites!....

If you want to join a FREE Forum there are hundreds.....some have perfectly good "amateur" tipsters on...who charge NOWT......others will pass on stuff from Tipsters they use - again for nowt..... that is being fair and ethical...

What isnt fair or ethical or 100% legal under the new ASA guidelines is shisters like this proporting to have information that isnt information but made up tips sold as someone elses when it isnt...

There are a lot of gullible people out there falling for this....

AND YEP...these cretins also sell on your info and you get bombarded....how do I know - I subscribed to relayman for a month and cross checked his data....60% WAS MADE UP.....all of the Gold information took 10 mins to source FREE OF CHARGE.....and the Forum....well if you can call a Forum a Forum with less than 10 active members of whom 5 were clearly the same guy....then you carry on mate....call it a Forum....

As for customer service......sending an email with 30 tips on it 5 minutes before the first race aint what I call customer service.....neither is 20 of them being newspaper naps at odds on or evens....

Having had dealings with this Relayman crowd in the past I can confirm that everything in the worcesterwilly post at 1405 is absolutely correct. They are very naughty people and the sooner the authorities whether it be racing people or police type people crack down on them the better.

I'm not interested if their profitable or not, I treat them all the same, you included.

The hardest part is beating the under round, with a 100% book.

chelsea girl i am not or do not claim to be a tipster, i just posted a few bets that where all well backed i think so ideal for me to make money trading, you have spent a lifetime laying horses? i did not think exchanges where around that long!! unless you are betting underage.

The good thing is for me though i can back professional tipster selections as they are almost always well punted then trade back to lock in a profit, professional tipsters do have there uses sometimes.
Report Irish are lucky • September 30, 2011 6:06 PM BST
are you a member of relayman whiskey?
Report whiskyvoucher • September 30, 2011 6:14 PM BST
yes mate a paying member, find it worth the money even just to get some well known tipsters selections to trade on here, and of course back the decent tipsters selections as i see fit.

I am unaware of a thread from onthefence if there is one, one the copy/paste from greg gory is not from the relayman site i can assure you.
Report chelsea girl • September 30, 2011 6:14 PM BST
whiskey.....Locking in a profit is fine if the subscriber is aware thats the name of the game.

Unfortunately there are many naive punters out there who would not have a clue.

By the way, I used to own 2 betting shops in the 1980's hence the 'lifetime' term, g/luck.

Report Irish are lucky • September 30, 2011 6:44 PM BST
you went from not knowing to knowing for exactly how long and exactly what the topic of the thread was. Strange.

I couldnt be ar$sed carrying on.Enjoy your charade newbie.
Report whiskyvoucher • September 30, 2011 6:54 PM BST
irish, i thought you where on about a recent onthefence thread not one from last nh season, i am not a newbie it just appears that i am as bf requested i change my username, i have been a member for many years.

Maybe i will not post any more on this thread as it is becoming tiresome reading the negativity of people such as yourself and is getting off the point of this thread.

I will end by saying any member who thinks relayman is a con then please do not join or indeed do not join any forum you think is a con.

end of chat!

sad but true im afraid, just check there history from a reputable proffing site.

What reputable proofing sites, would you recommend?
Report worcesterwilly • September 30, 2011 10:09 PM BST
the vicker....

the racing post proof but dont publicise their proofings...they are merely for their own adverts

the biggest independent proofing site is racing index - www.racing-index.co.uk

the next biggest is tipping league - www.tippingleague.co.uk

another site that proofs but tends to be used more by members using it for competition is www.gg.com

there are other proofing sites but they appear to be more marketing based sites with very few tipsters proofing to them...racing index proofs for maybe 1000 and tipping league at one time several hundred...

how "independent" they are is a bone of contention but it is a fact that on racing index and tipping league you have to proof tips prior to racing.....

Whiskey, how about a head to head over say 6 months?

You post all the relay **** and I post molerats info?

Has to be a forfeit so would you like a meeting like the one Brimardon arranged?
Btw that was nothing to do with molerat,it was to do with a poxy £600k which they dont have.Throw into this, lads from Napoli who will mark your card well.

Over to you?[;)]

Read all the posts with interest.  I am involved in the RM site and although 'relays' 'tipsters' seem to be frowned upon in most forums certainly this forum there are people out there that pay £X amount of cash to service that really aren't that good.  Good PR and false claims and people pay and think they can make thousands backing the tipsters selections.

Whether you think what RM does is crap, against the law, or whatever your opinion is  people have a choice to join or not.  Those that have joined very rarely leave so they must be doing something correct.  Amongst the many tipsters there are a few that do show a profit year after year.

The stable information is genuine and in terms of legalities its not against the law to relay tipsters - fact
and theres nothing wrong with saying we have an insider at X stable and this is his views........

The stable information is NOT copied and pasted from the trainer websites - fact

Like i say its not for everyone but for a few sheckles a month and those that dont have time to study its no different form buying a racing post each day.

I have ignored him mate, it is not my intention to get into petty squabbles with semi obtuse people like irish, and a nutmeg like rscaughtboy who cannot even spell whisky and of course not forgetting chelsea girl who has been laying horses all his/her life even before the advent of betting exchanges and is only interested in slagging something off he/she knows nothing about.

It is a shame that a lot of members are only interested in attempting to sabotage people's websites such as relayman (which i am a member and have no financial interest in) when maybe they should view these things with an open mind and maybe agree that £7.99 a month is not such a bad deal and in my opinion worth the cost for the several tipsters who have stood the test of time, and i find there selections useful when placing my daily wagers.

But everyone to there own devices, i will stick to what has served me well for many years.
