I know he had strong connections in the west country. Sure a certain long time telephone tipster had a payday that day.
Wasn't Carl a good friend of Declan?I know he had strong connections in the west country. Sure a certain long time telephone tipster had a payday that day.

Why was Jibereen backed the week before , before any draw was made.
Why did D Murphy ride out the horse previously when oficially no one knew who was riding what ?

I distinctly recall reading in the racing post the horse was bet on a week before.Shame the racing post archives don't go that far back.
It stuck in my mind because they fixed it so D Murphy would have a fairytale winner after near death.

I'm sure somebody somewhere can confirm that it was reported in the racing post that a rails bookmaker had taken a hugh bet a week before.
I'm not saying there was antepost betting available on the class g race for jumps vs flat jockies with Ladbrokes or Hills , but i recall one rails bookmaker saying he took a bet the week before.

I recently was talking about this to some racing ebnthusiasts but couldn't recall the name too.
thanks for confirmation.Out of interest why did you start this thread?I recently was talking about this to some racing ebnthusiasts but couldn't recall the name too.
I remember the horse that caused his injury. ARCOT. A racehorse owner i knew had a tip the first time it ran in bumper, hosed up at 14s.Next run was at our local track. Bookies were offering5/2-3. Seemed like everyone was on. Scooted up again. Trouble was it couldnt jump. I think Murphy was thrown on its first run over jumps and again at haydock?
