Great jockey but get the feeling a lot shrewder than publicity or general consensus allows.
Can't ever lay as wins too many races on 5/6 - 1 shots but personally find it hard to draw with him.
I just leave races with his shorties alone now.

actually Sweep its too easy
i got £100 off my Mrs to turn into £1000 and I am laying McCoy to win £10 every race
even though he was out the traps early with 4 from 5 - the worst she was down was £48 - when we got £100 ahead I gave her her £100 bank back as I feel sure the £130 she has left will see her to the end of the season
or collect her grand.
look at McCoys annual stats to a level stake - and he is getting worse and so is johnjo

Dosen't surprise me at all. I spose it's just the odd 7/1 dour stayer at Stratford in heavy ground that he grinds over the line. Will be looking at his future races with interest.
somewhere on der forum (internet), seen dude laying mccoy every single race, was doing ok
Stoneyhill Sweep, I've been around a good few years, and can rarely get him right, had the same problem with Jon Joe when he was riding.
