Shouting and screaming like the second coming just because they bet a 15/8 winner.

3 winners @ 11/10,6/4 and 2/1 in a lucky 15 returns 42.4 minus the 15 stake equals 27.4/15 = 1.82 (say 15/8).

All this performance over a poxy 15/8 winning bet.

Somebody please tell me my maths are wrong, PLEASE!!

Bull. I know or a fact 13/2, 4/1, 7/2, 20/1 (The C Grant horse) was freely available until after 12pm and there were many yankees in Ireland especially.

That's a 786.5/1 treble.

You could have had a 200/1-ish treble from the yankee mid afternoon.

your maths are wrong, more people would have got the bigger prices and was loads of 4/1 available on his 3 runners.

I have got to say at this point that I haven't checked whether his maths were correct or incorrect. He was just pleading for someone to tell him that they were wrong so I did.

Jeez lads.

Price 1  20/1 win
Price 2  13/2 win
Price 3  4/1 win
Unit Stake  1
Total Stake:  1
Return: 787.50

That's a 786.5/1 treble.

My maths is rarely wrong.

I got these prices no problem, I don't bet big though.

- with the greatest respect, not the attitude of a winning punter.

Surely, "the real punters," 'played' all four ....

But only backed 3 of them.

wrong thread - but appropriate here, too, nonetheless. Blush
