if you go back through all his gambles form, at one time they have all shown form more than good enough to win the race in question.
the real cheats are the ones who have never shown any decent form, and then improve a stone when the money is down

Feck we all do it , had greyhounds on flapping tracks for 20 years , bend bend bend get your mark and off you go with the gamble . No difference in what barney and 99% of others do.
Report par May 10, 2010 8:09 PM BST
course we did, all part of the game

and ask any old flapping man how hard it is to get 3 winners plotted up

A horse that runs Soldier of Fortune to within 7.5L and then loses his way, is a great training performance and a great gamble by his ex assistant.Cool

So WHAT were these runs then ...

if they weren't CHEATING ?

...he seems to have made a mistake selling that Towcester winner.

Landing a coup after giving a horse 2 + years off used to be his modus operandii.
Report penny stall 64 May 10, 2010 10:26 PM BST
He's got the patience which few others have to plan the gambles, and also has the funds to keep the horses in training for long periods with the big day in view.

Curley is obviously rubbish.

He couldn't train the thing to get out of it's own way.

Chris Grant takes over and it pops in first time.
