Years ago I used to enjoy a stint at the casino. Usually quite exclusive 'private clubs'. A pal of mine has been losing rather heavily as of late, and as I suspected he has been playing blackjack at a large chain that use auto shufflers.
So why do I call them cheats? Well, they are suppose to play with six decks. In actual fact, although there are six decks in the machine, I doubt if even two full decks are ever actually in play, or stacked at any one time. So why should this bother the punter?
I'm going to make a cup of tea and see if anyone can make a sensible reply.

Take a look at the card Counting tapes that are available and you will see why casinos now have Shuffle policies.
Why would a casino, bother to have a 6 pack shuffle policy and only shuffle 2.

why have 6 decks if you are only going to deal at most 2 decks before reshuffling. Most people do not count cards, and the casino have measures to deal with the ones that do. However even without actually counting the cards, there are times in some 'rounds' when there is a slight advantage to the punter, because so many small cards are out of the shoe. Now with a car shuffler, if the casino is not prepared to play more than one round without shuffling, the dealer maintains a higher advantage throughout the game. I watched last night, the dealer rarely busts.
blackjack is a game designed to give the advantage to the dealer. casinos dont really need to cheat they make enough money anyway
