He doesn't seem to be after the prize money!

Murtagh didn't hit Age of Aquarius once. Sick of this .
Report Orchardist May 7, 2010 2:51 PM BST
season is a marathon not a sprint -  will look different by Ascot imo
Report Duvauchelle May 7, 2010 2:53 PM BST
is that what Aiden said before the race Orchardist cos I missed it. Wish I'd seen it as I would have saved my money
Report easymoney May 7, 2010 2:53 PM BST
Group 3 race = a nice prep gallop for more important targets later in the year - after you Ryan, on you go.
Report olt May 7, 2010 2:54 PM BST
think punters have a right to know though, yeah the money wasnt down but,if hes not gonna give 100% the punters should be told to keep hold of the hard earned
Report Hayden May 7, 2010 2:55 PM BST
Can't imagine either the race status or indeed the prize money would have a massive appeal to the great one in all honesty.
Report ahvanbasten May 7, 2010 2:56 PM BST
AoA = waste of a ferry ticket

would have had more exercise doing a no.2 in his box
Report wur May 7, 2010 2:57 PM BST
He should keep them in feckin Ireland if he wants to give them training spins.
Report smartie3 May 7, 2010 2:58 PM BST
gives him a marker
Report wur May 7, 2010 3:00 PM BST
I'd give him a marker.
Report hippie May 7, 2010 3:01 PM BST
It was a carbon copy of Fame and Glory's first run. He can't be allowed to keep doing this - and so blatant.
Report tutan May 7, 2010 3:03 PM BST
O'Brian horses must be feeling the depression that is in Ireland at the moment ,must not be able to afford the premium feeds .Laugh .
Report BigMover May 7, 2010 3:33 PM BST
This is nonsense, get his horses fit? Age of Aquarius was stretched coming around the last, beat fair and square by a better horse. Murtagh wasn't going to beat him when he clearly was finishing behind Harbinger

Massive O'Brien/Ballydoyle/Coolmore fan but this whole racket is getting beyond a joke now, dont know how they are getting away with it,shame on stewards for not calling him in for blatant NON TRIERS Love
Report lagmorian May 7, 2010 10:46 PM BST
the most visually impressive in his group in the recent o'brien clan racecourse gallop and obviously made peoples minds up to back first time out and although turning into the straight did run into the back of munsef i dont think was ever beating the fav and the whinging must stop

It would be very helpful but O'Brien doesn't take any notice of punters anyway.

Race commentator:

"Age of Aquarius was conservatively ridden, perhaps with an eye on the rest of the season"

Says it all, really
Report Duvauchelle May 8, 2010 10:06 AM BST
very true Nomadic, and Lagmorian, why can't I have a whinge. I paid for it when I backed it and felt he was ridden perhaps more to find out how he went over 13f in anticipation of future targets, rather than tying to win yesterday. You have to admit he was very easy on the horse from 2 out until past the post?
