think this is a good thing, dont worry about AOB horse firing blanks at the moment!
harbinger ![]() |

By:
Price gone with SJ 11/10>10/11
By:
Minor nagative is gives 3 lb weight away alround; but powerful horse build to carry a few pounds extra no probs

By:
With AOB horses needing the run this campaign, i think Harbinger is a sure thing tomorrow myself aswell.
By:
This is as good as a "good thing" gets imo
By:
id take the fave on...
most of the televised races have the favourite beat and the one of the outiders win... for me MUNSEF |
By:
Munsef 2/2 at the course but maybe not up to Harbinger's level?
By:
Very rarely bet at odds of less than 3/1 but very tempted with Harbinger and that despite letting me down in Great Voltigeur

By:
He's giving weight to a genuine group 1 contender.
At the price you're quoting, no, he's not a good thing. |
By:
Harbinger hates soft ground. Has to travel extra distance tomorrow on g/s going. A lay for me at Evens.
By:
Thanks Hippie that's what I need is some counter arguements...assume your referring to AOBs horse?
By:
Munsef is a massive price! Im on!
By:
I think Age of Aquarius will win. I know they need the run, but he's an early type who will run better at 4.
By:
I remember the sh1tty rides Murtagh gave a few of his at this meeting last year..
Not on your life at those odds |
By:
Johhny Murtagh's only ride tomorrow.
Age of Aquarius' entries marks him out as AOB's great middle distance hope. I wouldn't want to take him on with a group 3 horse, especially at the price Harbinger is. |
By:
Murtagh also rides Encombassing in the 2:15 for AOB
By:
My mistake, Murtagh's riding Encompassing in the Dee Stakes but Age of Aquarius will be the reason they're coming.

Find Hippies comments very persuasive..but disagree that Harbinger will not be suited by ground. Only time encountered real fast ground was disappointing. Has slightly rounded action to my eye which would be suited to ground which is not firm. I think good/good-soft would be fine. End of season run in soft ground looked second best horse for majority of race and this prior to breathing operation during close season (?)
Also times at Chester yesterday only just on soft side of good imo |
By:
Victoria Montoya is the one for me, should take them along could slip the field. Horses prominent and up with the pace good at Chester when theres cut in the ground.
Wouldnt back Murtagh at Chester he keeps holdong them up, when will he learn. |

Racing in foal can bring bring about quite a bit of improvement in some fillies, buit doubt if she'll be good enough; but stranger things hvae happened

By:
Obviously only a tentative selection, but there are a lot of ifs and buts surrounding some of the other horses. So worth a small e/w imo

E1986 yes all about value at the end of the day GL

By:
the only thing stopping me going in at evens is the doubt about the ground it looked like it was cutting up quite bad in the last few races , if they get any more rain reckon the price will drift win or not
By:
It has drizzled for about 3 hrs tonight, 8 miles from the course.
By:
I'm not too far away from the course (20mins) and weve had no rain here since 6pm...not sure what the forecast overnight & tomorrow is though but the ground was riding Good to Soft today wasn't it, don't think Harbinger would want it any softer than it was today but if its dry overnight, then i can't see it being beaten in all honesty.
By:
Weather forecast suggests largely dry overnight and tommorow maybe a little rain early in day..sunny and dry most of tomorrow with drying wind. Good by time of race imo unless unlucky and get heavy shower.
By:
powder dry on this one I think too many doubts and if it wins at around evens I can live with that
By:
Wd ... |
By:
WD to backers..which I wasn't..decided wasn't missing much even if he did win..mightily impressive again...
will be following from here on in! |
