Can't figure this race out (again). Lot's of questionmarks, specially since three of the five runners have a lenghty abscense from the track.

And why would Adrian Nicholls go to Windsor for one ride on a Johnston "no-hoper"?

I've had a look at this little competitive race and at first look it is hard to fancy aerodynamic. But at a second glance I think his form isnt the worse and he is quite a big price.

First time out last year he was quite green but won quite well. Being by oratorio 6f was never going to suit him and he then ran in a listed race 9 days later which was obviously too soon but still performed with a little credit although was considerably green again.

He is off top weight here but isn't carrying a welter burden either. at the forecast 9/1 i think he is a worth a litle flutter. A number of horses that he beat first time out have won since at two and three. Of the listed race he was beaten by some good horses including beethoven.

any views?

Had a massive message for it first time up last year undoubtedly has ability so its a question of do they want it today

Great horse, but defo has too much weight today, and there are some very good other entries in this race. One to keep an eye on for next time

in fairness he is only given 7lbs to the bottom weight today and he is running of 9-4, it is not as if its a complete welter burden. I know there are some quality entries with some top trianers but I believe this horse is much better than a handicapper.

My only concern is that it could be a pipe opener today.

It is indeed better than a handicap horse, thats the mystery of why they are running it today as such. I think even if it were fully fit that it would still find one too good today
