i think it is in their rule book that states you can only judge a group one after a bottle and half of port each..page 2, section 4 - big letters

Where interference has occurred during a race, if the interference involved placed horses and the placings of the race may be altered, an enquiry is called under Rule (B)11.6 and the claxon is sounded across the racecourse. This advises bookmakers not to pay out until the result of the enquiry is announced, and also makes the punters aware that they should hold on to their tickets as a result could be altered.
Where interference has occurred during the race and the Stewards do not consider the result will be changed, no claxon is sounded and the enquiry takes place after the weighed-in signal, enabling bookmakers to pay out on the result and punters to collect. |

I totally agree.
Not only did the steward get himeself on TV, but having a 66/1 winner of the guineas is not as sensational at reversing the result and awarding it to the Fav? |
