Doncaster May Day

it used to be one of donnys busiest meetings of the year but when it closed arena transferred it to windsor and in their wisdom decided to leave it there and now donny race on the saturday night,4500 there last night they used to get 10,000 on the monday,crazy decision and would have also meant there would at least be one decent meeting on mayday monday.

Thanks for the reasonng. I used to enjoy going there on the Monday, a bit like going to Wetherby on Boxing Day.

yes the meeting only started about 10-15 years ago(time flies) and unlike a lot of new meetings didnt take long to bed in and soon became very popular,there was an article in the post a while ago on donnys declining attendances,i nearly wrote in pointing out the lossof this fixture,very annoying but cest la vie.
