Report Charlton2005 May 2, 2010 8:09 PM BST
sea bird, ribot and at least 8 others would have smashed him
Report Ibrahima Sonko May 2, 2010 8:10 PM BST
Dream on, nobody could handle that turn of foot in the final furlong.
Report Charlton2005 May 2, 2010 8:12 PM BST
well argued.

Over valued performance with the runner up finishing lame
Report Ibrahima Sonko May 2, 2010 8:14 PM BST
Thanks.

I thought you would need more persuading than that.

Futile argument to say one horse in one era was better than others when - short of cloning them - it can never be proved. Dancing Brave was certainly a champion on Arc day and the performance was spectacular, but less so when he was beaten by Sharahstani at Epsom, or only 4th at the Breeders Cup. The best of his generation no doubt.

Nijinsky would be my champ but I have no idea if he would beat Ribot, Mill Reef, DB or any others.

Won it in record time and its an 'overvalued performance' lol
Report elisjohn May 2, 2010 8:24 PM BST
guys horse , top class champion, different parish to sts IMO, the greatness of him is that he won an arc and kg and was not a true 12 furlong horse , and that what found him out at epsom

Couldn't act left handed so not within a million miles of being the greatest ever.
Report kithairon May 2, 2010 8:28 PM BST
Got to agree with Tip , the most beautiful/elegant /graceful animal i have ever seen on a racecourse.
Report all along May 2, 2010 8:29 PM BST
ribot, proved himself through two generations
Report pox doctors clerk May 2, 2010 8:47 PM BST
still the greatest imo, never take that away from me either,he was a very versatile animal to say the least, i reckon he could have won over the minimum trip how he travelled in some of his races, and also some of his races were won on differing going, so to say he won top class races upto 12 furlongs in softish going , and in record time certainly puts him at the top of my list. yes alexander you are still correct
