He is spot on if you ask me. How much is racing losing by these early calls. LEvy payments would increase and we'd all be happy.

he calls the result in 2 secs and some of these finishes are close.....he will get one wrong sooner or later.....that quick he wouldnt even have time to double check...

how would levy payments increase? If people are hedging on betfair, they're reducing their potential profit (or others their loss), hence less comission to betfair so lower levy paid...
Other point about making wrong call is of course valid, but if he knows the result he calls it - you have to assume he's not going to risk consequences for him by calling a result too hastily... |

Punters suffer enough stress as it is without have their emotions tested unnecessarily. The betfair bloke was saying they should make a photo finish as dramatic as X-Factor !!

They should be made to wait at least 30 seconds before announcing the result to allow people the chance to bet on the photo.
