Francombe got everything so wrong he should be given the sack.
Even got the name of the horse wrong after the race.
He was a great jock and is very funny but in regards to doing the job which he is paid for I think he is very poor.

Anybody who understands racing would know that there was a real chance of the result being changed.

He was a great jock and that is what he knows about. He showed you today the limit of what he knows about racing. I bet if you asked him about other aspects of racing he would not know. It's like asking a jock is this horse value to be backed in a race ? They would not have a clue yet you get people ringing up there tipping lines all the time. |

problem is when you see a lot worse not reversed you might believe the stewards would be consistent and let things stand (although I thought they were right this time)

This is how it should have gone ...
Stewards called .... no way do they interview winning connections especially a guy in a wheelchair ffs. McGrath develops a backbone and tells Francome he disagrees with him and they discuss it until the stewards is over. Owner not taken to hell and back when reversal announced and Francome made to look silly leading to him using his nugget next time something similar happens. |

I agree with you Mcgrath was very poor also He should have told Francombe he was taliking S*** talking about what he knows from a riding point of view. HELLO The whip was in the wrong hand Francombe should have been the first to point this out. |
