what was worse imo he made no mention the horse was slipping irreparably back through the field long before he exited the race, just didn't seem to notice it was struggling

Poor horse. It could have beaten Church Island at Sandown and instead they ran it left handed in the National and Uttoxeter.

Have those workmen got out of the way yet of that loose horse around 200 yards away?
