He's forgotten more about racing than any of us will ever know Bullet Tooth. We should ever be in awe of his greatness!
I met hime once. I'll never forget it...I carry the words he spoke to me that day always! He shook my hand, looked me straight in the eye, leaned a lttle closer and whispered... "Lend us a fiver?" Class |

this is my bet in the guiness good price about the place i think

Why not 4/1 each way with Ladbrokes without the fav, surely its a bet to nothing ?
|
|
By:
That does look interesting. I still think a place bet is the value as there are a lot of unexposed horses lurking in the race that might beat EP for second.

Brilliant horse this a total machine.Yes the place bet could be the best Bet of this year I must agree with the poster.

But the icing on the cake was the Lester Piggott nugget as relayed by Richard Hills on the Morning Line:
Lester maintains that if a horse wins the Craven by 3 lengths or more it never...repeat, NEVER finishes out the front 2 in the Guineas. Sounds good, the most recent qualifier would have been Killybegs, do you fancy backing him with me? You can have 10-1 1/4 the odds a place if you like, I can't remember the result of the Guineas but we can look it up after we've agreed the bet, ok? |

Richard obviously doesn't talk to his brother then!

Bet of the Year? 6/4 to be placed? There are 8 other colts with ratings same or better. In addition, there are 3 other unbeaten colts who could make tremendous improvement. SNA looks exceptional so 2 places amongst 11 horses. I'd reconsider the claim if I were you.

Just ploughed all my profits from Viva vettori place bet and Juke Box Jury win straight back into this at 2.5.
On at all rates from 2.64 down now...turning into one of my biggest bets ever. Biting fingernails time now!! |

Trip, ground & course all to suit today. Strong, gutsy horse who showed us he has trained on a treat judging by his decisive Craven victory. each way steal at 8/1
I'm with you all the way mate |

Seriously, there was no value whatsoever in the bet, and to claim that it was Bet of the Year was just ridiculous. Still, we all make mistakes and its best to try and learn something for your money.
