Thinking of going to Hamilton tomorrow as I'm off work Monday! What's the facilities like? Is it worth a wee road trip?
Cheers

Agreed - One of the best small courses about. Once you get over the difficulty in viewing the races.

Much better run and better value than Ayr/Musselburgh.

looks like a few weegies on here lol, perth is imo the best course in scotland compact and great for viewing,as for hamilton its ok, food and, drink is exceptionally pricey ,bookies are fair and viewing is fine can get busy on band friday nights where you have to kick the bottles of becks oot the way whilst walking through members. Should be ok the morn though and it is considerably better than ayr ps its m johnstons favourite racecourse .

Pieman, I'm no weegie I'll have you know. Musselburgh is my local track, it's just I think it, and the other Scottish tracks are pants compared to the one along the m8.

Sunday should be a good to day to go, not the worst track in the world, might even pop over myself, and throw away my usual £2ew bet on Primo Way......one of these days! Erm, i'm sort of a weegie I think....

hamilton has gone downhill imo since morag left.the latest incumbent came from the failure of livingston fc albeit she jumped ship early and imo has failed to make improvents. the price of drink is a scandal albeit I dont go to drink next time you drive doon the m8 stay on the road til you reach carlisle ,best small racecourse in the north, plenty of taxis, small tapas bar ,plenty of parking ,champagne of the month, cheap boxes on not so busy race days and had the xfactor stars b4 hamilton.

none of those facts are 100% wrong and for the record think it was sept 2009 the so called finals meeting and at the end of the day all I can say is how I experienced it. the tumbleweed flowing through hamilton last year was embarrassing albeit not helped by the dank weather.if thats the best in the north then pity help us

From Edinburgh you'd be better off going to the point at Mosshouses(just outside Earlston/Melrose).
Good viewing track, fair entry & beautiful countryside.
You can go to Hamilton anytime whereas Mosshouses is only on once a year.
