I was at Donny when it won and I can't ever remember seeing a horse 'live' with such and impressive turn of foot. I really want to have a big bet on him but think the price is way too low, first time out, question mark on the ground and against quite a few dark horses and improving types.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO

The Racing Post are a big cause of the hype, they only sponsor 2 big races per year and they make sure their 'winners' are in the headlines as much as possible.

lay better on softer and will he cope with the dip on firm ground , lasy year when he beat elusive pimpernel he looked like a 3yr old against 2 yr olds, elusive pimpernel looks more the finished article likes the ground and has course winning form, big ew at 7s elusive.

Who can beat it? the horse has been doing fantastic work on the gallops..and has improved greatly. It just hasnt been seen yet by the public... until 3.05 that is.

If I had to I'd lay him. He won the Racing Post against horses who were very poor, didn't act on the ground or as in Elusive Pimpernel's case was unsuited by the slow gallop. Although visually impressive, I think that race suited him best. Its a completely different test today and he may well be up to winning it but it wouldn't carry my money. I could be missing the best 5/4 shot of all time but I'll get over it.

Most impressive RP tropohy - but not a brilliant yardstick - all horses change dramatically from 2 to 3 - most improve, some dont improve as much as others -
It may scorch home by many lenghts - but the odds are exceptionally poor value in a field of virtually unknown improvers, so if you take 11/10, you are a bookies delight
Value is lay, lay and lay even more
