By the way Money Tree the word is separately - from the latin paro = to cut. Desperately is from spero = to hope.
Problem with this country is no one does latin any more.

It so often is Carvill. Some say it is cast before one is born and that we are all victims of fate.

To quote Aiden "it was always the plan to train him for the classics" of which there are 3 he can run in.
The only way to top STS for stud purposes is to emulate Nijinsky.
At 2 there is no doubt who was the better horse.
For the good of racing let's hope Coolmore go where the Aga Khan feared to tread.

Have to agree with Broadsword. The perceived wisdom is that stallions that win over distances above 1.5 miles are stayers and will produce slow offspring. The breeding industry is hugely conservative. No-one with a 2000g and Derby winner would go for the St Leger. How many recent St Leger winners have been successful at stud or even commanded big fees initially.

Montjeu and Galileo are staying type horses who won Derbys and the King George but they are king stallions, STS has shaken up Coolmore by winning over different distances and Jim Bolger who O'Brien used to work for spoke of emulating Coolmore's founder Vincent O'Brien by winning the triple crown with Teofilo. The penny has dropped with Coolmore and soon it will drop with everyone else.
Even RFC might work it out soon. We'll talk again in Sept.

yes but I cant see the racing post form being turned around, o brien putting in a pace maker so this will play to SNA breeding strengths. The fact that his first choice is obv significant as fencing master looks very good indeed, the danger being awzaan but with a stong pace this 8f can turn out to be 9f like trip and this will surely buckle him. The rain not a factor o brien says but i prefer a bit of cut than to have ground like the road!
