From a bookmaker's perspective, the Donny crowd were a pleasure compared to Huntingdon. Most at Donny knew what they were doing, they weren't total novices. Just priced out of their local course by greedy executives.

what part was too busy ?as the weather deteriorated all the people crowded into the aircraft hanger leaving oceans of space for proper racegoers.
very few bothered going near the parade ring , non went near the pre parade ring and there were that many books there no one could fail
100/30 the first winner a bonus..never touched that on here.

must mention though a credit to doncaster was the real ale bar
black sheep special , york bewery coppergate , greene king abbot all at £2.90 plus tetley on handpump at £2.80
and a big plus was water for free.
