Yes ribero, a good punter. Not only did they hedge with each other, they punted with each other. The man in question was/is a very good judge, however I think Ricky came out the winner in the punting stakes! You could say that it's six of one and half a dozen of the other, but Ricky gave him a hammering on many occasions! (I worked for the man involved apart from being a good friend)

I could tell you many a story ribero, but one in particular is sweet. My mate's buisness was struggling for a while and he decided to go to Royal Ascot with his betting boots on. He went down with 1200 approx. and came back with 10K. A lot of money in the early 80's.tbh, he taught me just about everything I know about the game.

one of the reasons is in the first line (6 on rails ) when they made it one ring, what little business that was left in tatts after boards on rails ,collapsed
