ribero, did you ask Ricky that question?
By:
hi stewarty yes i did,he said he knew him well, good bloke and one of the biggest on course punters in the 80s,monkeys and grands on regularly.
By:
Yes ribero, a good punter. Not only did they hedge with each other, they punted with each other. The man in question was/is a very good judge, however I think Ricky came out the winner in the punting stakes! You could say that it's six of one and half a dozen of the other, but Ricky gave him a hammering on many occasions! (I worked for the man involved apart from being a good friend)

I could tell you many a story ribero, but one in particular is sweet. My mate's buisness was struggling for a while and he decided to go to Royal Ascot with his betting boots on. He went down with 1200 approx. and came back with 10K. A lot of money in the early 80's.tbh, he taught me just about everything I know about the game.

By:
You can let Ricky know that he's a taxi driver now. No doubt Ricky will know this as my mate still goes to mussleburgh. Are you standing at newmarket for the guineas meeting?
By:
i will tell him stewarty, not sure he realise that he still goes to musselburgh as he didnt mention having seen him lately, dont stand at newmarket, donny tomorrow and thirsk saturday for me.
