Hoping for a good day with a few fancies at different meetings. My main bet of the day though is Favourite Girl from the in form Tim Easterby yard (sent out 1 winner and 8 places from 20 runners in last 7 days).
Ran 23 times, 16 of which came in Class 3 or better (inc 4 Group races) and todays conditions look to be ideal. Her form over 6f on g/f reads 1 win, 1 place from 4 attempts.
She ran a decent race enough race on her seasonal reappearance 14 days ago when finishing 4th (Class 4, gd).
No doubting that she is dangeroulsly handicapped here off 78 given that she was running off a mark of 104 not so long ago.
Her 3rd of 20 at York last June to 101 rated Swiss Diva sticks out as by far and away the best form on offer here, especially given that she gave the winner 6lb.
Haigh Hall is a crazy price given she has yet to run over the trip and was beaten 7l last time (granted it was her 1st run for a long time).
She seems priced up based on here 5th in the 2008 Hilary Needler but that form is very suspect. Out of the 5 horses to finish behind her, onlt 1 managed to win since (combined 59 runs between them).
The rest are much of a muchness although Maze could prove better today. That one sweated up badly last time and was drawn on the wrong side of the track.
Favourite Girl 9/2 general (5s with Sprtgbet) Maze 16s btfred.
Good luck.

Good post uptothelast, you're preaching to the converted here. Horse looks better class than these, big bet for me.

She could be well in if retaining her ability but last time out could be misleading ( all the fancied horses up the stands rail had no chance from draw ) and her good run last year was in a fillies race - sticking with what i think is the best recent form so bonnie prince blue for me - good luck !

BPB might well of won last time out with a clear run - do think we need a drop of the wet stuff for him to have his best chance of winning today tho

when tim easterby had haigh hall as a 2 year old, he did note rate favourite girl within a stone of her. in fact tim thought she was potentially the best filly he had had.
