Investigate fully all non runners in dead eight races and fine harshly any withdrawals subsequently found to be unneccesary.

Stop Bookies taking the pi$$, no wonder punters are giving racing a wide berth when they are getting tucked up daily by this farcical situation
Pause Switch to Standard View Racing for change 7 runner races

7 runners with an odds on jolly

Report foxy April 28, 2010 5:26 PM BST
investigate fully ?

just find another interest if your so bitter and twisted you suspect everything that does not suit you to be**
Report hallgate April 28, 2010 5:26 PM BST
do you think it affected turnover?
Report hallgate April 28, 2010 5:28 PM BST

You only have to look at the breakdown of the amount of runners since GPT started, 16 plus handicaps have fallen dramatically and thirteen to fifteen runner races have shot up

quelle surprise
Report foxy April 28, 2010 5:29 PM BST
no i dont
Report foxy April 28, 2010 5:29 PM BST
turnover can increase with a short one.

Here is a e mail from Kemptons clerk, sent to a poster when asking about 16 runner handicaps and the 14 runner"Safety" limit

Our safety factor is 16 - we generally have a maximum field size of 14 to protect the LBO money and its also a compromise between jockeys and racecourse as the jockeys are happier with a safety factor of 14.

Id imagine paying only 3 places instead of 4 would help to protect LBO money

foxy if you think odds on jollies in a 7 runner races of todays standard improve turnover we will have to agree to disagree..and because you dont agree with me i will refrain from calling you a mug..strange hey
Report foxy April 28, 2010 5:40 PM BST
hallgate, racecourse is different to the sp shops regarding turnover.

sorry for calling you a mug that was uncalled for.
Report hallgate April 28, 2010 5:42 PM BST
no probs ..:D
Report lukehart April 28, 2010 5:43 PM BST
as the only person with 5 years stats but why bother those who agree will be 10% those who hate you mentioning tricky EW races 50% and the rest couldn't care less because they bet Each-way in the races that only someone divide of knowledge would. 40%.

Let them all except that they are not being had over anf we will have to bet in less races.

cubone.

as a casual racetrack punter..betting 20-50 a race or 2-300 in total dayout ,pretty sure that i would of kept most in my pockets today with the cards.
reagrds decialisation it is so much easier to read and workout which bookie is giving best prices compared to some of the recent fractions being banded about 16/5 21/10 and so on its just bookies trimming away the 7/2 11/10 shots with higher looking odds..no wonder bookies are against change.everyboard offering deciamls is more transparent to the causual, well all punters imvho
