Firstly is it allowed and secondly should you get paid for doing this or would the information obtained be enough to pay for itself? What would be the best set up regarding this? This is if you used your own accounts in your name to put bets on for them.Alot of big priced e/w shots with bookmakers.

closed accounts in a few days imo. especially if the way you bet suddenly changes dramatically. difficult enough for 50 quid bettors to get on now.
my first bit of advise though is to keep posts like this off here. |

if you get "paid" then that is a wage but it is a very grey area. if you are part of a syndicate and get a percentage of profit that would be better(or at least sound better). unlikely the IR are going to break your door down though.
do you know them well? is it a friend? |

I was just inquiring like that nobody in particular it's just because alot of junk mail gets sent out with this sort of set-up.

don't do it for someone unless you know them and trust them would be my advice.
believe me these people will not be offering you the best part of the deal. whether they win or lose with my guess is they will get your accounts closed. who sends you this junk mail? is it internet? |

No basically you put bets on for them in return for the info on your own accounts.Very poor deal imo especially having your accounts closed etc

between you and me (and seeing as it is late and no one else is reading this) i used to give my mates a monkey to let me open accounts in their name. you used to be able to get thet back in free bets normally so everyone was happy. not really worth it anymore though. |

Hoofer I have been a Bookmaker for 35 years and an agent during the 50s for some of the best and most professional players in the country number one problem is
You must guarantee that you will get paid. when acting as an agent it is on trust and that is something you cannot take lightly. There are many pros who would be happy to use an agent how ever you will last only days before you are restricted or closed down. If it is hot money and you are confidant that it is, and your stake dictates that you could pay a reasonable fee for the info then that is the best way as you are only committed to your own bets, not others. cubone.co.uk |

You will need a remote betting intermeditary licence from the Gambling Commission.
The application fee (non refundable) is 6500 and the annual fee is 13500. I am not winding you up by the way. |

There was a bookmaker in the 70s that ran a scam like this, trying to get himself out of a mess I think. He was quite well known, advertising his bookmaking in S. Life. He rang me up but fortunately told me an obvious lie (that he had checked my bookmaker accounts and knew that I was a loser) so I dropped the idea pretty quick (very naive in those days so was considering it).
When he went bust many of his "helpers" were significantly out of pocket. So my advice - keep clear. |
