As the Racing For Change week is here can we all please make a concerted effort to stick to proper EW terms, dress smartly, be polite and approachable and make the betting ring a place that people want to come back to?

There are going to be a lot of newcomers attending racecourses for the first time this week and it offers and ideal opportunity to show people what a good fun day out racing is and then hopefully they will want to come back.

Think long term of the future of all of our businesses during this unique week.

Also on my wish list is to see a real live Dodo and frankly I think I've more chance of that one coming true.

I really don't think the bookies can do it.They are so used to been greedy. All they know is poor value which any idiot could give.If the on course game was heads and tails they would be laying 4/6 heads 4/6 tails. This is how greedy they are and they are still kicking themselves for losing ''their'' punters to the machine .If they hadnt been so greedy maybe I would not be writing this now.I say they will feel due to greed and unable to have the skill to lay a book.

What a load of rubbish replies,as expected. Why are you all forgetting the flexibility of decimal odds instead of citing one-off poor examples. What is wrong with offering 4.1 a 4/1 chance to beat the competition, that's not complex or confusing.
So you don't have decimal odds on your laptops showing exchange prices?
To use your examples ,new punters don't know which is better 100/30 or 7/2,,however they WILL KNOW that 3.5 is bigger than 3.3
