the david lanigan trained LEADER OF THE LAND, looks a really interesting runner here. the well bred halling colt had three quick runs in the space of a month at the end of last year. he was backed on his debut run here at nottingham on soft going behind green lightning. he made some late headway but was a well beaten 10th that day. unfancied three weeks later he ran in a decent little lingfield maiden, making no show and finished the year on the sand at southwell. again held up out the back, he was a never dangerous 4th of 6th to sweet child of mine.
his mark today looks really fair off 60. i would be really surprised if he isnt a lot better than that. blinkered for the first time, stepping up in distance, from a stable who are starting to click into gear he looks a decent e/w punt at around 10/1.
