I have £25 matched antepost on a horse at 127.7.
Odds are now 85
What do I need to do lay wise to lock in definate profit.
Sorry if it seems a daft question, but I cant get my head around it!

Click on the lay side, put in about £35 for the backers stake and see what it gives you as a liability, will leave you up a very small amount on one side and a few hundred on the other, hope this makes a little but of sense mate.

If I click on the lay side for £25 as well it's green as below
£3,167.60 £1,067.60

All other horses are
-£25.00 (red) £0.00 (green)

Does it mean that my fixed profit today is £1067.60 but I lose £25 if any of the others win?
Sorry to sound daft , but I don,t normally back then lay.

no should all be zero apart from the one you backed if you just want your £25 back

keep changing the steak until you are happy with both sides

But with the new lay price being so far under my matched back price, surely I can lock in good profit?

if you posted £25 on the lay side then then should all be blank.. I think...should get your money back and have a profit on the other side.
Im confused now.

It should be 127.7 / 85 * £25 = £37.56

You cannot lock in good prophet if it loses, with such a small steak, hth.

Ha Ha. So if I lay it for the same amount I backed it for, what happens win or lose? Do I lose or do I win? see my previous post re what it says next to every horse. Thanks for your help, it is appreciated.

Simply divide your total return (inc stake) by 85.. ans £37.56 as already posted by BJ and Viagra.

Lay it for £37.56 at 85 and you'll win £12+

10£ on a 102=£1000 profit.....lay £10@52=£500 liability...£500 left divided by£10 =£50 profit...i think.
