Report Fidway. • April 23, 2010 7:59 PM BST
how could you say you knew the horse wasnt a machine,he hadnt been pressed til cheltenham so anything was possible
Report dananders • April 23, 2010 8:04 PM BST
his jumping was never going to be adequate enough for him to do it at the top level. his engine its turnes out isnt good enough either . i still cant believe how he went off favourite today .

Must have turned down half a million easy, Wylie had an offer rejected.
Report Fidway. • April 23, 2010 8:06 PM BST
didnt think his jumping was as bad on his last 2 starts, funnily enough the 2 races he has lost. hopefully go chasing next year
Report Fidway. • April 23, 2010 8:07 PM BST
wonder if by next february we will have people urging them to go for the queen mother instead of the arkle chase
Report Ibrahima Sonko • April 23, 2010 8:08 PM BST
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Should try him on the flat or forcing tactics like they did in the bumper.
Report Anaglogs Daughter • April 23, 2010 8:10 PM BST
Duinguib won the champion bumper at Punchestown last year....tho records will show Dunguib won but was disqualified later after been found to have been running with a banned substance.
Report CrossingNewburyStreet • April 23, 2010 8:11 PM BST
World Hurdle is his best hope IMO.

Don't think half a mill would have even tempted them people are paying over a 100k regularly for horses that have won ptp's impressively
Report winston • April 23, 2010 8:17 PM BST
Have it real good authority that they refused 800k euros. Grren and gold hoops allegedly.
Report Anaglogs Daughter • April 23, 2010 8:30 PM BST
They should keep fate with Dampsquib hes got the makings of a Melbourne Cup horse
Report Allduckornodinner • April 23, 2010 8:37 PM BST
Turned down a million the evening he won Champion Bumper. Ryanair.
Report Anaglogs Daughter • April 23, 2010 8:39 PM BST
Started off 400k now we are up to a million....Snaffi Dancers record should be broke (as the greatest waste of money on a horse) by 12am.
Report Allduckornodinner • April 23, 2010 8:42 PM BST
The million offer is true. Not sure what the offers were up to that point. They were right to turn it down anyway. Live the dream (even if it didn't exactly work out).
Report thebeg • April 23, 2010 8:42 PM BST
foundation built on drugs never works
Report Ibrahima Sonko • April 23, 2010 8:42 PM BST
All depends on how wealthy the owners are.
Report Allduckornodinner • April 23, 2010 8:44 PM BST
How do you mean drugs Thebeg?

Owners well enough off to afford to turn it down at this stage of their lives.
Report Anaglogs Daughter • April 23, 2010 8:45 PM BST
Dont make sense paying a million for a horse with no crown jewels, how many Grade Ones would it need to win the money back. Michael doesnt like wasting money ...soooo.
Report thebeg • April 23, 2010 8:47 PM BST
sorry but whats a banned substance
Report Allduckornodinner • April 23, 2010 8:48 PM BST
It's not about winning the price back, it's about the glory. Keeping Gigginstown going is costing a fortune but he doesn't mind as long as he is in the winners enclosure on the big days. The Ryanair Michael is much different to the private Michael.
Report Allduckornodinner • April 23, 2010 8:50 PM BST
He was given a wormer that was mean't for another horse. Nothing untoward with that if you understood medicine. He had won at Cheltenham without any help from said wormer so can't understand your point.

can never understand when jumping is *apparently* a horse's only issue why not ride it up front where it can have a good sight?
Report J0KER • April 23, 2010 10:20 PM BST
I know Arnie Sendle who ownes Kinscliffe

He accepted the mega bux offer from JP and was due to exchange in the morning...woke up and changed his mind. He had a few quid but regreted it for sure

you would not want to back it without seeing some improvement, some never come back and serious question marks about the future
Report gart • April 23, 2010 10:52 PM BST
the horse moves lovely and its easy to see he's a very nice horse;
but perhaps he just needs a little more time. and if you have one shot
at the big time then money probably was not the prime concern.
