There was a flag. Why the hell isn't he stood in front of the hurdle? And why the hell are they being waved around the hurdle when it was only going to take them closer to the stricken horse?
Farcical.

Correct decision, but what a farce. No flagmen would have been better, as none were necessary with the screens well out of the way on the chase course.

What a**-up, jockey did the right thing IMO, he wasn't to know there wasn't an injured jockey the other side of the fence, saw the flag and went round, can't blame him.

I backed Tabaran but given the fact that the flag man on the side of the track was waving his chequered flag, what else was danny cook meant to think? If were meant to keep on the same course why was he waving his flag? Sums up what an absolute shambles British Racing is.
You wouldn't expect this kind of amateurism in Sunday morning football.

The clerk of the course has to take management responsibilty for his staff (flagg waving etc). He will be deemed resposible for the** up & will probably get the rap for it....we will see

just one note - it was not clear what the flagman was indicating with a flag in his hand, if all the jockeys would have gone around the hurdle what would happened then?

flag men should be sacked, clearly waving flags before a fence on the other side of the track, leaning over the rail, whats the jockey supposed to think, they should not have been waving any flags, the horse would never had gone near the screens total joke

Just no consistency. At Chepstow a few weeks ago the fence wasnt dolled off just some bloke pointing them round the fence. No difference there. Outrageous scenes.
