so do all the critics of AP and his method of presenting horses at fences etc think Ruby would have been able to handle Denman in that mood? He would have settled a horse of that power, coaxed it into each fence, brought it into the race gently and so on? a genuine question.

Denman is finnished..... what the form book didnt tell you was that the Tank has been stuck in a Madrid airport for 5 days..... do you expect him to run a stormer after a bust train ferry train ferry bus ride to the course?
With Ruby on top it would have dotted up on the snaffler, Mccoy didn't know which way to go today.
