in ur opinion what would be more stamina zapping, 1m 2f at newmarket or 1m 2f at epsom ?

just Epsom - Newmarket Rowley Mile is tough because no bends but there's more downhill than uphill on it - big hill to go up at Epsom right from the stalls

there was a horse i thought would appreciate further than 1m 2f at newmarket when i saw it run there and its set to run same distance at epsom, thats why im asking

Aviboyd - I'm not as it happens because I jogged it a few years back (after racing on the July course) and I was amazed that there was more downhill - subsequently I had a chat with Richard Fox who confirmed it

Orchard - Epsom is downhill from 6.5f out, Newmarket undulatations far more stamina sapping, oh and horses are not humans...

I understand that but question was the trip and the uphill start is a real test (I've walked that didn't jog it) - i don't think there's much in it tbh

Epsom uphill start at 1½m, not at 1¼m imo
