Hi guys, thought this would of be some help to some of you.

Some people mentioned yesterday only Boyles & Paddy were doing refunds and Ladbrokes was'nt, they even settled my bet as a loser. Well I sent them an Emali and got this response.

Thank you for your email regarding Twist Magic, I have looked in to your account and can see your bet placed on Twist Magic as yes it is correct we have settled it as a loser as per our rules. However as a gesture of goodwill as you are a long standing customer with us I have refunded this bet in to your account. The £20.00 is now in your Ladbrokes sports balance. If we can be of any further assistance, please contact us again and we will be more than happy to help you.

Worth a go for some of you..

Cheers

That's odd John.. I had this e-mail back from Sadblokes when I made a similar enquiry:

Thank you for your email regarding Twist Magic, I have looked in to your account and can see your bet placed on Twist Magic as yes it is correct we have settled it as a loser as per our rules. However as you are the sort of cvnt who only ever bets with us when we are overpriced something, or if you can lay it back on BF shorter, I have not only confirmed your bet as a loser, I have deducted a furthur £20 from your account for your bare faced cheek. . If we can be of any further assistance, please contact us again and we will be more than happy to tell you to get to fvck and never darken our doorway again..

Yours Sincerely, Phil Yerboots. LRL Customer Services Dept.

i laid twist magic on here,no one has emailed me looking for a refund
Report John_Boy April 21, 2010 11:52 AM BST
Yeah, I bet on twist magic on here too. And didi'nt try .
But as other firms are refunding bets why not try Laddies, surely can''t blame me for that, and I got a result !

Others wouls do the same if they thought they had a chance of getting a refund !

And i'm posting it on here to try AND HELP OTHER PEOPLE OUT

Why should you get a refund? Why should people that backed the winner or placed horses be subjected to a Rule 4? The horse has been problematical at the start before.
Report John_Boy April 21, 2010 11:54 AM BST
I've posted it on here to advise people who had a bet with Laddies it is possible to get a refund, not to get in a debate

Cheers

If some firms feel the punter didn't get a run in a prestigious race than why not ask the ones who didn't to follow suit.

Well done, imho

Refunds for people who enquire, not the first time, and feck the ones who dont, more shabby practice from the crooks.

Dear Paddy and John
Do you not think that it is about time that we do not have to cry out for an act of GOD to get a horse bet reinstated in to our account when in all justice it should have been declared a non runner at the off,
Why should Bookmakers have some sort of divine power over bets.
It is 2010 and the racing games has been in operation for 250 years.
By now wrong should have been replaced with right.

We stand for many wrongs under the "One of those thing" yet this horse was never at any time going to participate.
Why cant the powers that be make a simple rule that for a horse to be deemed as a runner they must have passed the starters box, in a manor acceptable to the starter.
We then know before the result how we stand and do not have to rely on a good will gesture. form 10% of the industry.
After all it is the punters Levy contribution, that keeps the whole game on the road.
I have written to Racing for change, and the BHA perhaps they may do me a service by at least answering me.

The alternative would be for the | Bet fair forum to achieve something they have never before achieved and that is getting the BHA to change an unfair rule

good effort to pay back small, long standing customers why not
Report John_Boy April 21, 2010 12:08 PM BST
Becasue your not a mulit million pound company who could afford to let some money go back to a valued customer. Thats prob why.

And if i was in your position, i'd do the same as you.

But as someone mentioned before, if other firms who are in ther same business refunding, why the hell should'nt I ask them to also.

Thanks for this, I emailed LB and they sent me this reply aswell..

Thank you for your email regarding Twist Magic, I have looked in to your account and can see your bet placed on Twist Magic as yes it is correct we have settled it as a loser as per our rules.
However we have looked at your account and your in branch activity and have realised a number of things..
Did you use the 25 x Daily Mirror £5 vouchers each day over Cheltenham festival when in fact you should have only used one? - YES
Did you ask for a refund on a bet recently when you were late on but the horse was beaten, and would expect paid if it had of won? -YES
Did you back J Defoe to score first and Spurs to win 2-1 at the incorrect price last week and expect paid out at nearly 5times the correct price? YES
Did you care that it was a computer error? NO
Did you care that the guy that made this error was gonna get happy slapped round the office? NO
Would you give us back our money of only Twist Magic started as the other 8 fcuked about at the start? - NO
So..therefore NO you cannot have a refund..you brass necked dirty rotten tapping bsatard..if you ever ask that again I will come round ours and smash your windows.

If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to ask?
Kind Regards,

Thank you for your prompt reply Mr Lads

I agree that I took full advantage of you kind, Bonus/Sun. offer
You forgot to say that The counter assistant, at Branch 1901 City Centre Birmingham, told me that she though I would be repaid. because she had told the area manager that I was a regular loser.and he is scr ewing her once a week.and will do as she says.
By the way she is a great lay unlike the Bookmaking firm she works for.jumps.
I hope this dispute will not affect the fine relationship O have with hr when she lets me on after 3 jumps or v2 furlongs on the flat.
I would like to know because it will save me the £50 a week that it costs me at present.
May I thank you for the 3% net profit, over the past 5 years, and intend to move to Nottingham, were a new counter assistant, has just been through a nasty divorce, ive been led to believe.

I remain a firm supporter of your cr appy rules, and customer relations
