Could it be 3th time lucky, negitives, AP, ground, right handed, thought he would learn from Newbury, done the same again at Cheltenham, Denman is an end to end galloper, he was done for speed in the gold cup, your a passenger for 90% of the race, let him do his own thing, take the speed out of them from the getgo.

Brave shout Glasgow but at least you are prepared to stand up and be counted. Personally I think AP is better suited to horses like Twist Magic and Denman. Both like to take it up a long way out and grind the oppostion into the ground, a particular style of APs.
What happened yesterday with TM had nothing to do with AP imo. PN said in the saddling boxes he as going loopy and that was long before AP appeared. And there is nothing to say AP and Denman are not suited. In fact, if anything, the instructions given to him by Ruby may have worked against him. Ruby believes he needs to be led for up to a mile to get going and then send him on but in a 3m race waiting for a mile if the pace is slow can be critical. |

AP, is at his best when he's bulling a horse, your a passenger on Denman, for 90% of a race like a Gold Cup, watch the race he did what he did at Newbury, nearly broke his jaw at the majorty of the fences. the gold cup was turned in to a mile sprint, the sprinter, would not have had a sprint left in him, if AP had not have been on board. watch Denman winning the Gold Cup, and take it from there.
