And they talked about points shaving, what exactly is points shaving......i think its something to with handicap scores? anyone know?

In organized sports, point shaving is a type of match fixing where the perpetrators try to prevent a team from covering a published point spread. A point shaving scheme generally involves a sports gambler and one or more players of the sports team favored to win the game. If A v B and both teams are 10/11 but team B are +10. Someone from team A will get nobbled and make sure that his team (A) don't win by 10pts or over. They can still win the game but lose the spread.
