Report loper April 20, 2010 7:21 PM BST
How old are you?

Because if you are old enough to be legally on here then I doubt you are young enough to attend school.
Report onehundredandeighty April 20, 2010 7:22 PM BST
i went there many moons ago and wasn't allowed to weigh more then 7 stone 7
Report fudgey April 20, 2010 7:22 PM BST

you can be up to 24 to be at a riding school.

He has to be 24 already judging by his joining date!

lol what do you mean work on your appearance. Do you need some money for silks and a pair of leather boots, or are you too good looking and needing roughed up ?

fudgy learn the art of winning from the front get the tapes of when Pipe and Scudamore were king.

I could send you the stats but it would be inaproprate.

I dont look young so will always look older than they expect. Is there an age limit to train as a jockey ? I was told that as long as i was keen and quick to learn ..lost a bit of weight i would be ok.
Report lukehart April 20, 2010 7:31 PM BST
But I will say it dont seem the best approach to bettering your good name by entering a Gambling site before you have even started riding.
Report kauto_kauto April 20, 2010 7:31 PM BST

Report fudgey April 20, 2010 7:32 PM BST
Agreed Luke but as i am not started yet its ok.I am worried still about my weight and age and may look into what i can do to change things very slightly.

Report fudgey April 20, 2010 7:34 PM BST
On second thoughts given my height and weight i may in fact go as a jump jockey, maybe an easier route.

Got to say I remember he'd trade 2 flies up a wall, if he thought there was an edge ;) but can't recall anything specific about snooker. Maybe cos it's not a sport I watch much, it might not have stuck in my mind.

Report lukehart April 20, 2010 7:52 PM BST
Fudgy I dont wish to preach but.

If I was an owner and I spoke to you on an chat line, after you used the word Blag, Stoke, and Con,. all similar in nature.

I doubt you would be given the chance of riding one of mine.

like I said mum will know best. after all she is doing the cooking
once you are down to the weight you wish to be, there will be plenty of people at the jockey schools that will put you on the right road,

One you are riding regular you will save money by traveling to the courses with 4 others you will soon catch up then
Report Malcolm April 20, 2010 8:01 PM BST

fudgey most yards want people that can do ten stone thats jumping yards and racing schools. If you can pull that off you have a chance to become a stable lad and with the right timeing you might get a break to a small jumps yard.

good luck and never give up on a dream.
