The Irish bookies are head and shoulders above the English ones imo.

By:
lol 3 at once!!!
By:
no real reason why any firm should refund bets as unfortunate as the incident was, you know you wont get your money back on here, so why should you anywhere else?

HOW ABOUT VICTOR C
By:
Why exactly should they refund. The horse has a suspect temperament. Anybody backing it should have factored that into the price they took.
By:
er because they won fortunes on the race and it helps dispel the image that they are greedy money grabbing bar stewards.
By:
Why would they want to correct that image ?
By:
Irish Bookies lead the way again. Rules need changing but they didn't have to refund. It's for reasons like this, and for paying extra places that punters are switching to Irish Bookies. Billy and Lads can have the bingo and the roulette, but they will very soon lose the Sport of Kings.

He has never refused to race in his previous 26 races and one race he was a bit unruly at the start , so not quite sure why anyone would factor that into the price to any extent TBH. |

By:
there was race at turf paradise last night where a horse stayed in the stalls....a heavily backed favourite too.
guess what? stewards decided after the race to make it a non runner and all steaks refunded. shocking this cant be done here. Its just THIEVERY from the bookies. |
By:
agree with guru,if a horse is under orders anything that follows is covered by the rules.
By:
ELG if you backed a 20/1 winner and the evens fav stayed in the stalls, would you be happy to be paid 10/1 ??
