and one to walk on by, perhaps, however..

I felt Wild Rose was progressive last year, being a late starter to the track in August and having the make up to look like being a better 3yo than 2yo. A kind introduction was repaid next time out with a comfortable win, at Kempton, todays venue + . This was followed up by a better performance under Saleem Golam at Wolverhampton over 9 furlongs when getting into trouble twice but managing to still get out to stay on and win beating horses circa OR76 in the process. Her 4th and final start was on turf in a Listed race at HQ and with no show perhaps the run is best overlooked that late in the season. A class and race too far at that stage.

Reappears today on an OR 81 mark and in a way leaves little scope for M Bell to play with, however having wintered well and hopefully seen normal improvement from 2 to 3 then, with the yard in reasonable form, first time out winners last week with Wigmore Hall and Coordinated Cut then I reckon 7's on the daq and 6's on here represents some value. Bearing in mind she has only ever raced over 9f then the 12f today is an unknown but the female line suggests this will be OK combined with the trainers decision to start her over this trip. Compare this to the fact that the favourite has only ever tried 9f too but is circa 7/4. Additionally whilst he won easily last time he only beat a OR63 rated horse.

With Atlantic Tiger already a winner over the trip and likely to try and make all, and Goodlukin Lucy also already a 12f winner, the race will be about who stays.

Tha only other runner, Mawaddah won over 7f last time out, so would imagine will be held up in rear with Wild Rose, but would hope the selection may have the better staying power to challenge the leaders in the latter stages

so, for a bit of value Wild Rose - 1 point win for moi

good luck.

3 of the runners have won either making all or taking it up early, so indication not a false run race imo. Will Wild Rose stay 12f iyo? Doyen's first runner over the distance so no help dam sired 6 & 7f winners so far.

5 runners and 4 fancied
only Goodlukin Lucy not fancied

Previous thoughts on GL after last run
Goodlukin Lucy
I was impressed by Pat Edderys filly which took on the colts over a distance of 12 furlongs and won convincingly. It stepped up from a good run over 10 fur at Donacaster but that was only 8 days previously. She must be tough running so soon, and travelling up to Musselburgh. Worth keeping an eye on

I think you get the Mirror
Mercoliano and Wild Rose.

Others in Express

Often in these small fields the one that isn't wins.

Was the short runner Mirror Lad?
Its breeding says it needs further.
The speed maybe a plus but not so sure.
Perhaps they made it a lead runner on gallops at home?

5 shares!!!!! doh.
Just wanted a stable visit.
