a late decision to get to newmarket for the guineas meeting, am i wasting my time in trying to get hotel in newmarket at this stage? anyone recommend anything near to the heath so i can see some equine action exercising? or is it going to have to be cambridge at this stage? any suggestions welcome

Bedford Lodge is the dearest in Newmarket.
Try the hotels at Barton Mills/Mildenhall/Beck Row, £10/£15 cab to course and a few choices but nothing special in terms of quality. Failing that yr closest is Cambridge/Bury/Ely, All abt a £30 cab fair |

Lensfield Hotel in Cambridge is ok, not that expensive from what I can remember and easy to get to Newmarket from there.
