thanks for help. HDMI Lead is no good and I need to get a 3.5mm jack to jack lead. Correct?

Saddlers , when you are using the hdmi cable from the computer to the tv set , all you are basically doing is transferring the picture on the computer to a bigger unit on the tv . The sound is still in the computer and the tv speakers will not function as they are not receiving a sound signal . All you need to do place external speakers into the head phone jack and you will get a great sound .

Thanks but cant find any speakers in the house to fit the head phone from laptop. If I get the jack to jack lead do you think it will work?
|
|
By:
turn everything off.
give each individual two light hits. turn back on. if it doesnt work then its broken |
|
By:
saddlers go to any electrical shop ,will provide you with a set of external speakers with a jack plug moulded on them . For the time being get a set of head phones and stick into computer jack point and a nice sound and view picture on tv .

If you have a HDMI connection in your tv and connect to your Laptop/PC via a HDMI cable, I didn't think you needed any other cables. This may be a Model issue, I couldn't help you on that but I get my sound through the tv speakers. I just had to adjust the "Audio" settings on my Laptop.
