New software?

Try ...Services...Auto standby...set to off.

Might not be that but it's worth a try.

Its not birds. It's not the picture, it's the box that switches off

You can reset the system and load the latest software by switching the power off, leave for at least 28 secs then switch it back on while pressing the Back up button.then follow instructions on the screen.

I have one in the bedroom and it does the same - it's a standard sky+ box. Totally useless imo!

A long shot but try...selecting 'Services' on your Sky remote, then no.5 Auto Standby,, and set it to off. Apologies if it's amore complicated problem than this!

We had this problem with our Amstad. After complaining endlessly to SKY they finally conceded the box had an inherent fault and they s**ped it for a Thomson, which has worked perfectly now for 9 months.

driver2 ,can i ask a question . The area you live , does is still receive the analog system for the terrestrial channels . If it is , this will keep happening until the area coverts to digital . When your area converts to digital , it will not happen any more . If you are all ready in a freeview digital area , the box needs replacing .

I live in the South of France, maybe I'll ask the guy who put the system in for me.
Thanks for the suggestions anyway, I'm going to give them a go in the morning.
