Dereks withdrawn today. Reason given is going. WALOFS.
Why are the BHA continuing to tolerate his practice of entering 2 runners in a handicap hurdle and taking one of them out. Does it more often than not.

I told a betfair man on the phone at 9.15 that one wouldn't run. Dereks has left possibly the worst yard in the land (apart from dear old Clarissa ) and the village idiot will probably have it off with this one soon.
High time they got done.

Fancy that!

Regular readers will not be surprised to hear that Jim Best has taken out one of his two runners in the seller, because on past form it has been on the cards all day.

Topweight Dereks has come out, reportedly on account of the ground, leaving Pearly Star, the best-backed runner on the card, as his sole representative.

They've changed the rules so that trainers can do what they like. Just withdraw and give any old waffle for the reason. Some have taken full advantage.
