The only people who seem to be exempt from protection of the law on discrimination are the public school graduates. I am not one myself but I don't agree with a lot of the comment about them. They are no better but certainly no worse than anyone else. The Labour party are pinning their election hopes on encouraging hatred and preducice against a certain accent. The most pompous, toffee nosed politician in England is Lord Mandelson but he is the one behind it. Rant over.

did Mandelson go to public school?
|
|
By:
If he didn't he does his best to pretend that he did. My point is that it doesn't matter any more than it matters if you went to an inner London comprehensive. If you tried to publicly denigate a candidate who went to one of those you would be prosecuted.

Nah, they are questioning the "we are all in this together" ethos from a party that intends to bring in increased tax breaks for the top 1%. Not hard to be sceptical is it?

Did you enjoy Call Me Dave's second bout of squirming the other day when the ex serviceman asked him why he didn't return any of the 30+ phone calls he made to him having been assured by "Dave" that if he contacted him he'd help him out?

usual rubbish from the class warriors. gimme a toff over a chav anyday. all the bovver you lot complain about at race meetings isnt caused by folk who can speak proper. its from the 'working class', few of whom do any werk.

Rather have coal miners and nurses running the country then toffs who never done a days work another berk. nurses and miners eh. the old faves. most nurses are useless and coal miners stoopid. very few 'toffs' do not work. almost none claim benefits, whereas several million 'working class' have selected non-working as a lifestyle choice, and are grossly subsidised by what you wanchors like you consider the 'middle class'. |

There was a classic clip of John Prescott doing a documentary on 'class' the other night.
JP chatting with some 'ladies' in a council block, chavved up clothing, trophy pitbull nearby. JP: So what class do you think you are? Girl: Me? Im middle class. JP: Middle class? well thats interesting, id say you were working class. Girl: But i dont work. :D |

Alistair Darling went to Loretto School and Harriet Harman to St Paul's Girls' School. 2 of the most exclusive public schools you will find. Of course Harriet has done her best to change her accent since.

The modern upper class are the professional politicians of all parties who have every one elses money to spend. Some is tax, some is graft. In Europe the @crats are nearly all millionaires. I happen to think that Nick Luck is quite bright. Big Mac on the other hand, despite his Harrow education, behaves like an ignorant buffoon. Which school you went to has very little effect on your personality.
