With glinka the outcome would have been unchanged and there was far more unlucky in that race regarding my pocket in the place market , with barracas he would have needed to go up a gap along the rail which could easily have closed , if you owned the horse would you want your jock lashing it and taking that risk

I have looked again and you have a point, there wasn't the daylight to go past perhaps on the Barracas ride. But as an owner I would have been disappointed that he got into such trouble in running. Its not like the horse needs to be especially covered up. Witness the Dundalk win. As for Mikhail Glinka, I still think a stronger ride would have made the difference. I believe he was the best horse in the race.

It may have been the best horse we will never know , i just dont think it was fully wound up as are most of the yards at the moment , i think he got the horse to the right place at the right time but ran out of horse I had a good bet for me at 4s down in the place market on adress unknown , have a look and you will see the real hard luck story of the race mate
